Do you pay for every phone, inkjet & toner cartridge, digital camera, and mp3 player, even if it's broken?
What happens to the cell phones and electronics that I send in?
- The cell phones and electronics that you send in will be recycled or refurbished. See Recycling Process.
What are the benefits of starting a recycling fundraiser with Professor Recycle?
- You can be sure that ALL cell phones and electronics will be recycle or refurbished. Unlike other for profit recycling companies we don't process anything outside of the United States. We guarantee payment for every item. We are a non-profit in the state of Michigan. Not only do we pay you for the phones that you collect, but we also give donations to low income/under served schools across the United States.
Can individuals sign up and send in cell phones and electronics too?
- Yes, individuals just need to check the "individual" checkbox when registering.
How can you pay schools and organizations for the electronics and still give donations to low income schools across the United States?
- The reason why we can offer this great service is simply because we are a non-profit. Unlike other for profit recycling companies that are just out to get your money, we are out to heighten awareness about cell phone recycling and at the same time extend our reach by helping low income or under served schools that are in dire need of funds. There is NO other organization like ours and we are proud that we can help communities through recycling rather than make millions of dollars.
The truth is we would rather give a million dollars than make a million dollars.
Does it cost anything to get started?
- No, not a penny out of your pocket. this service is absolutely FREE. That's the best part!
How do I get started?
- You can register here at the fundraising page. If you are representing a school, organization, religious organization, etc, the fundraising director will contact you within 2-3 business days. Your shipping labels will be sent out within that same time frame.
If you are an individual, then your shipping labels will be sent out within 48 hours.

- Yes, we will give something for everything. Whether it's working, damaged, or even broken in 2 pieces we will give you something for it. if something is not o our price list then we will give you a competitive price.
